Use your hand to give the water a counterclockwise rotation a few minutes before you invite that person to watch the water empty down the drain. Even though the water will appear to be still, there will be enough residual rotation to make the water spiral counterclockwise down the drain. Place a sturdy sheet of paper on a smooth floor. Place a bowling ball or any other heavy ball on top of the paper. Firmly grab the two corners of the paper nearest to you.
